It’s a 2500 sq ft flat with 6 bhk done with Italian marble flooring in living room dining room kitchen and master bedroom. They were two differ flats which was made to one flat by breaking few walls of the flat to make it look one. the client had a family of 6 people with 3 generations living under the same roof. they wanted a flat which is maintenance free and yet looks very elegant.
The master bedroom is in the extreme south west corner of the house. The colors used is a brown and touch of green to make the room look livelier and to do away with the monotone use of brown in every room. The toilet door has been camouflaged with a wooden paneling. The bed back has POP grooves and fabric padding with a metal detailing in between which enhances the look of the bed.
The daughter’s room has been designed very brightly with whites and hues of brown in some furniture and wall paper. the daughter wanted a very raw look to the walls of the room so we incorporated white brick looking tiles in two walls. she wanted a reading corner to be created in her window so made a French window with a wooden paneling on all four sides to give it a cozier feel. there is a corner bed with padding on both sides and a beautiful light hanging from the ceiling.
The son’s room is full on bachelor look with dark colored charcoal grey laminate and a wooden flooring. The wall paper in the rooms adds a little color to the dark room. the wardrobe is also designed with dark color laminate and long handles of 4’ in it.metal stripes has been added to the study table to give break from dark laminates and to add a design element to the room.
Guest room has been designed in a way that who ever guests comes should feel comfort and relaxed with the light and bright colours used in the furniture and on walls. The leather feel laminate has been to camouflaged the toilet and the wardrobe wall.
One of the rooms of the flat was converted to a den room which is just next to the living room with a very stylish and attractive looking rope ceiling and a hanging chandelier on one corner of the room made of rope again .the ceiling and the lights were coloured black and put in between the ropes for the light to penetrate through the cross weave.instead of normal sofa we gave sofa /bed for the conform of the client whlile watching tv and realaxing. A fixed glass partition and a glass sliding door has been to keep it separate from living room yet comes it a bigger look to the living room when it is kept open.
Dining room is away from the living room but close to kitchen to have the maximum utility of the space.marble on the dining table top with metal base below.crockery unit is made of veneer with the grooved handles and we have camouflaged the other door of vthe flat with veneer and metal panelling with diffused lights in it to give it an elegant look.
The living comprises of huge formal sitting with a diwan and a two-seater sofa in the informal area. Artificial planter beams have been created to add green touch to the living room.lot of open space has been left in the living to give it a bigger look to the living area. An pop design has been done behind the sofa to break the monotony of wall panelling and paints in all the walls of the room.
