A 2000 sq ft office space in the heart of old Calcutta, right in front of the high court. Temple Chamber is an old heritage property and although it had its challenges to work in an old property the perks were beyond measures too.
The office was divided into 4 parts. Three mezzanine’s on different heights due to load bearing walls it was not possible to connect all and the main floor space. It was a lawyer’s firm, the first mezzanine was only about storage and record room. The second mazzenine had the registry room with storages, to allow him to conduct meetings and registries without office disturbances old furniture charm has been overall retained. The third mazzenine has a pantry executive chamber, 4 staff and staff toilet. The biggest challenge here was that we had a height of 22ft and in that we accommodate two toilets on top of each other 8’ height and a water tank as the building kept giving water ling trouble right from scratch.
The main floor space has straight landing in the old classical style which has been fully retained. The floor space was planned very creatively as we had to take out 3 staircases, storages, one executive room, reception, lounge, storage, box room, conference, MD cabin and Father’s room.

The conference room has a beautiful leather wall panel end to end which adds on to the beauty of the space. A clearly concealed wall cabinet has been made end to end which keeps mandir intact on corner, then TV area and storage with a 7 seater conference jutting out. Wallpaper has been wrapped across the space.
The MD cabin in a mystery on its own. Full big window overlooking the skyline gives the luxurious feel to cabin. A classical panel and wallpaper wall has been reveal with a door camouflaged to a personal box room hiding attention. The TV panel also has concealed storage hidden with laminate and groove with bottochino marble panel.
The father cabin has a double height feel to it. We kept monotone laminate with wallpaper and a blue patch running from wallpaper and a blue patch running from wall to ceiling just to add an element of color. The registry room overlooks this space, but privacy is maintained with windows and curtains. Two huge heritage window with a spectacular view.
The staff area in a play of white and grey adds lot of concealed storage. Under the staircase also storage is made with railings also incorporated with handles. To add to the natural light we have given big glass partition to the place is full of positivity.
The reception has full double height feel on entrance.
